Past solutions, such as cramolin and others are *not* passive.
Even Caig said so. Nothing can "penetrate" passively and that is the
term they've used.
I have no idea if their other chemicals are as bad; I'm not waiting
to find out using a client's synth as a testbed.
Fwiw, there are many, many more chemicals than just ferric chloride
that can eat copper.
There are other techniques available other than pot replacement or
continually spraying something into a pot to help it operate
correctly. Whether one-time, or a regular treatment, *adding* a
cleaner will not *remove* dirt. Where did the dirt go? It likely
stayed in the pot and that's why the problem has not ceased.
